Mr. Chris Chinnock

Chris ChinnockChris Chinnock is President of Insight Media, a company he started in 1998. Insight Media provides technology, market and product intelligence through newsletters, special reports, custom consulting and conferences. Chinnock takes an active role in all of these activities and is particularly active in strategic-level consulting projects. Mr Chinnock is an often-quoted authority on big-screen display system, technologies, markets and applications. Insight Media has a roster of over 800 companies that subscribe to various services, including custom consulting, on a worldwide basis.

Chinnock holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from the University of Colorado and for 20 years he worked in a variety of engineering, management and business development positions at companies such as MIT Lincoln Labs, Honeywell Electro-Optics, GE AstroSpace and Barnes Engineering before starting Insight Media.

Mr. John Dexheimer

John DexheimerJohn Dexheimer is President of LightWave Advisors, Inc. (LAI) and has a record of success in helping leading edge firms receive over $800 million of equity investments and mergers since founding LAI in 1999. He has advised on over 100 completed company financings and mergers in software, communications, electronics-optics, advanced materials and services including environmental.

LAI is an affiliate of WRT Associates in providing assistance for mutual client projects in a number of management and business development areas. Ms. Karen Jachimowicz

Karen Jachimowicz (Karen J) is a Registered Patent Agent with the law firm of Schmeiser, Olsen, & Watts LLP.  The law firm is dedicated to helping its clients obtain and protect their worldwide intellectual property rights.  Karen J assists individuals and companies in protecting patents, trade secrets, copyrights, and trademarks.  In this capacity she performs patent searches, works with clients to identify and define their inventions, writes and files patent applications, and prosecutes patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office as well as other international and worldwide patent agencies.

Prior to becoming a patent agent, Karen J enjoyed a 25-year career in engineering.  Her engineering experience includes designing semiconductors, displays, optics, digital cameras, and cell phones for several major companies including Honeywell, Motorola, and Freescale Semiconductor.  Karen J holds numerous patents on devices she invented while working as an engineer.  She holds a BSEE from the University of Michigan as well as being registered as a Patent Agent with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Dr. Michael Lebby

Michael LebbyMichael Lebby is General Manager and Chief Technology Officer of Translucent Inc.  Translucent specializes in materials technology employing materials based on rare earth oxides.  Lebby joined Translucent Inc. in 2010 to head up the company’s R&D efforts to commercialize rare earth oxide epitaxial materials. Lebby brings to Translucent a multifaceted experience base ranging from pure research to commercializing products in the semiconductor industry. With more than 180 U.S. patents issued in the field of optoelectronics, Lebby has been cited by the USPTO to be in the most prolific 75 inventors in the country from 1988-1997.

Prior to joining Translucent, Michael Lebby served beginning in 2005 as the Executive Director of the Optoelectronics Industry Development Association (OIDA) becoming its president and CEO in February, 2006. Under Lebby’s leadership, OIDA’s membership grew to include many major manufacturers of optoelectronics components, modules and systems. The annual OIDA market technology report has become one of the most extensive reviews available for OIDA members forecasting optoelectronics and photonics technologies for the next decade. Prior to his roles at OIDA, Dr. Lebby managed optoelectronics development at Motorola, was a corporate investor at Intel Capital, and was the founding CEO of Ignis Optics.

Mr. David Mintzer

David MintzerDavid Mintzer is an executive with over 20 years in progressive roles in Engineering, Critical Accounts, Mergers & Acquisitions, Marketing, and Executive Management in optoelectronics, telecommunications and lighting industries. Among recent assignments he has been the acting VP Marketing of a solid-state plasma lighting company responsible for technology integration and market entry and as acting COO of an LED firm responsible for West Coast Operations and new product introduction of parking light and garage fixtures.

Prior to his current roles in interim management and advisory focused on the lighting and solar industries, he was with JDS Uniphase from 2003-2009 and 1998-1999, most recently as Vice-President of Sales & Marketing of the Commercial Laser Division.  He led both inorganic and organic growth strategies to enter the solar and material process segments.  His prior roles at JDSU included corporate development M&A and new business investments,  and several years as a Director of Critical Accounts including Cisco, HP, Verizon, AT&T, Pfizer, General Motors, Siemens, ASML, KLA-Tencor, Fujitsu, Huawei, Lucent, Brocade, Nortel, Hitachi, Motorola, and IBM.
